SHAARS International, Inc. is a family-owned business. The name SHAARS comes from the combination of the names of the two sons (Shayaan and Arslaan) of our owners, Capt. Shahid Naseer and Dr. Aliya Naseer. Our customers and manufacturers are always treated as an extended family and we foster family values with all of our partners.

SHAARS International carries a wide variety of animal care and safety products. We also have the capability of providing any product that the customer requires, even outside of our portfolio, particularly project business.
Considerations include: Though the United States is the largest consumer market in the world, 95% of the world’s consumers live outside the USA. During the past 25 years, US Exports increased from $224 Billion to $1.1 Trillion. The current US Administration has a target to double USA exports within the next 4 years. Approximately 2/3 of companies export to only one country.
SHAARS’ mission is to help US Manufacturers export, market, and sell their products in the International markets. We research and develop channel partners for each product line and ensure risk-free transactions. Our services do not add any overhead to our manufacturers/suppliers. Our distributors benefit from our specially negotiated prices from our manufacturers/suppliers. We pass on the savings to our distributors. We work with world-class freight forwarders that provide excellent service at a competitive rate.

Captain Shahid Naseer
President
Our President Capt. Shahid Naseer has had the unique experience of being a Captain of large ocean-bound ships since 1990. As well as working for Multi-National Companies as Director / Manager of International Sales, he has been involved with Marketing and Customer service since 1997. He has managed multi-million dollar orders in International sales for these organizations. In addition, he has an MBA in International Business from the University of South Carolina and he is also the Chairman of the Maritime Committee with the CAPRC. You can reach out to our President at:
Dr. Shahid Amin
Licensed Veterinarian
SHAARS International is pleased to announce that Dr. Shahid Amin, DVM, Ph.D. has joined SHAARS International as the Director of Veterinary Affairs as of January 2015.
Dr. Amin received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He worked as a veterinarian at South Side Vet Clinic, as a chief veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital, and is currently working for the Animal Hospital of Loves Park.
